Mass of the Holy Spirit
At the beginning of each school year, our entire community—students, parents, faculty, staff, alumni, friends—comes together for our first all-school Mass, held in the gym.
This time-honored tradition dates back to the mid-1500s when Fr. Jerome Nadal, SJ, celebrated a Mass of the Holy Spirit at the first Jesuit school in Mesina in Sicily. This act began one of the long-held traditions of beginning every academic year at every Jesuit school around the world, invoking the Holy Spirit upon the community and all our efforts.
